Moza Banco discusses sustainability of Mozambican companies

Moza Banco participated this morning, 15th February, at Meliá Hotel, in Maputo, in the Breakfast on Economics and Business, themed “Macroeconomic Prospects for 2023 and Sustainability of Mozambican Companies”.

This was an event promoted by the Association of Commerce, Industry and Services (ACIS) in partnership with the Mozambican Stock Exchange and Moza, and brought together several relevant stakeholders in the country's development, in particular representatives from the Public Sector, Private Sector Development Support Agencies, diplomatic institutions, entrepreneurs, among others for a reflection on the foreseeable scenario for Mozambican companies in 2023 and their sustainability.

Moza Banco was part of the panel of speakers, represented by Executive Committee Member, Jaime Joaquim, whose intervention focused on the solutions that the Bank has for financing companies, focusing on the special lines of credit available at Moza.

"It is in our best interest to contribute in every way to support the country’s business sector, and that is why we are presenting financing solutions at the event, particularly credit lines with special conditions and attractive rates, which allow businesses to recover, maintain and/or expand their activities, thus ensuring their sustainability, even in a context such as the one we are in, which remains challenging. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate ACIS for establishing this important platform for dialogue and knowledge sharing, which aims to bring local businesspersons closer to other players in the business sector, such as banking, the stock exchange and academia, in order to make companies more robust and sustainable".

The panel of speakers also included Alexis Meyer, representative of the International Monetary Fund in Mozambique and Salim Valá, Chairman of the Board at the Mozambique Stock Exchange.

The participation and support of Moza Banco to the event is part of the financial institution's focus on supporting business activity in the country, in various sectors, by providing integrated financial solutions to meet the diverse needs of Mozambican companies, thus contributing to the country’s sustained and inclusive socio-economic development.
